Hello!
My name is Ryan, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you!
for as long as I can remember, working in sports was my dream. whether I was a professional on the field or off it I wanted to solidify a career in what I was passionate about.
I got my start at The College of the Holy Cross as a production assistant during COVID in January 2021, while I was attending school at assumption university. As a camera operator, I was able to learn what directors and producers were looking for, and how the show operated. Shortly after I began as a replay operator, and during a time where there was a change in leadership, I was able to start directing and producing shows. Though I didn't know very much at the time, I was able to grow quickly with my life long experiences from playing and watching various sports.
after graduating from Assumption, I took a job with a home remodeling company. Though this was not what I had envisioned for my career, it was a new challenge and something that would allow me to save money while looking for more work in the sports industry. after realizing how much I truly loved my passion, and finding my niche, I left the home remodeling company and started freelancing full time in November 2021.
this jumpstarted my career, allowing me to land an opportunity with the Worcester Red Sox, where I first started as a technical director and all around utility guy for the control room. Through great guidance with the organization, the next season I developed into a senior role within woosox productions. I trained members on the staff, and lead the shows for ballpark entertainment and television broadcasts. I expanded my map with brown university and Rush media later in 2022, setting my foundation.
After dedicating years to my craft, I was able to find a home at northeastern university as the assistant director of athletics video production, allowing me to compete on both sides of working in sports. at northeastern, I have the opportunity to master my skills in various ways. through broadcasts we put on nesn, espn+, and flosports, I am able to grow in the director and producer roles, as well as improve my troubleshooting capabilities. when I'm not leading broadcasts, I am filming our athletes, creating video content for social media, game day entertainment, and university events. Having the honor and responsibility to film, archive, and tell the story of northeastern athletics for the present and future is something I am very grateful for, motivating me to be my absolute best.
